An Offline Iteration of Office 2021 Is in the Makings At Microsoft

The tech-giant Microsoft is creating an offline version of Microsoft 2021.

First and foremost, you should be informed about the fact (in case you are not) that a new version of Microsoft Office 2021 along with a new product called Microsoft LTSC will arrive sometime later this year in 2021 for the users of Windows and macOS.

The tech-colossal company will release an upgraded version called Microsoft Office 2021 (with cloud support) and an LTSC product specially designed for business professionals sometime in the near future. If you really think about it, LTSC is really an Office version without cloud support, and it will run on your system without requiring any web connection or a web browser.

Recently, the head of Microsoft 365, Jared Spataro, revealed in an interview to The Verge that though Microsoft is pretty optimistic about the fact that many users have already switched to cloud-powered products, and many are doing that on a daily basis, there is a percentage of users who always have been hesitant to switch to the cloud.

And specifically for those people, Microsoft has introduced a new product called Microsoft LTSC.

LTSC is basically an abbreviation of the term Long-Term Servicing Channel. It is a non-cloud product and does not need any web connection and browser for its operation.

LTSC, which is also affectionately called the perpetual version of Office, caters to business professionals because of ideal working surroundings and the obligation to store all the documents locally instead of storing them in the cloud on the internet.

The Microsoft product is still under-development, and not an awful lot has been revealed about it. Nobody has the full list of the functions and features that Microsoft LTSC would entail, but it has been revealed by several sources that a new dark-feature in every application will be added to the package along with interesting features like XLOOKUP and dynamic rays for Microsoft Excel, and an upgrade in its accessibility.

Only in the preceding week did several cyber experts tested the new dark-mode feature of Microsoft, and most of them have been impressed by it.

The Verge has explained via a blog post that users should not anticipate a whole lot of changes in the User-Interface because Microsoft is looking to introduce all of its high-tech features exclusively for Microsoft Office 365 products. However, we can expect a few visual alterations in the forthcoming software product.

However, the license will only be given for five years instead of seven years that was offered to previous versions such as Microsoft Office 2019.

Albeit that, the tech-giant has clearly revealed that the charges for the products will not be altered from their older versions. For instance, Microsoft Office 2019 came at around $250 with a one-time buy option and a solitary license.

Microsoft has all plans to unveil a preview for the product LTSC version in the month of April. The full release of the product, along with that of Microsoft Office 2021, is expected to come after that. Apart from releasing a perpetual version for Microsoft Office 2021 (LTSC), Microsoft has also made development plans for Windows 10 operating system.
