  A TV series titled “Clarice” based on the character Clarice Starling (played by Jodie Foster) in the film will not feature the menacing cannibalistic serial killer Hannibal Lecter. So, you can officially forget about Anthony Hopkins featuring in the TV series. “The Silence of Lambs” fans will not be happy to know that their beloved serial killer will not appear in the CBS series “Clarice.” The sequel series, which has been inspired by Jonathan Demme’s onscreen adaptation of the novel having the same title penned by Thomas Harris, will, to the utter dismay of fans, confine itself to the character Clarice and it will not feature Hannibal Lecter in any form whatsoever.
