Stranger Things Season 4 Report: Set Photos Allude to the Fact That the Main Character Is Going to Return to the Show

Considering the popularity of the series, which has only gone up in recent years, and the fact that it is one of the most-watched series at the streaming colossus Netflix, it is needless to say that the anticipation of the fourth season is sky-rocketing. The season is also expected to be the penultimate season of the fan-favorite show.

However, it is imperative to realize that despite the production being commenced last year itself, the season hasn’t yet been finished with the principal photography.

And, now, as the cast and crew are still busy with the production of the show, there is good news that we have been blessed with some set photos.

Apparently, some members of the production team were spotted in Alaska (in Georgia) whilst the principal photography was taking place.

After helming three successful installations in the franchise, the Duffer Brothers did promise that the next season in the franchise is going to be the most ambitious storyline in the entire saga. Now, they are set upon to fulfill what they had promised.

One of the primary protagonists of the show Jim Hopper (played by David Harbour), has been assumed to be dead without any whereabouts of his body, and the inhabitants of the Hawkins are now moving ahead towards their future in peace.

However, the viewers of the show know the fact upside down that “Mind Flayer” isn’t going to give up just like that. It is going to return by hook or by crook into their world to cause unfathomable mayhem.

If you are an avid watcher of the show, you would know all too well that Mind Flayer is the primary villain of the whole show, with Millie Bobby Brown’s character Eleven being the primary protagonist. “Mind Flayer” is an obscure creature of immense power from the parallel universe, which has presumably been brought here by someone to use as a weapon. The antagonist has been believed to be of immoral evil yet with consciousness and human rivaling intelligence. And that is precisely the reason why the fans of the show think that “Mind Flayer” will somehow find its way to the reality where humans live.

Eleven, Joyce, and company also have evil Russians to deal with, who have been believed to be the ones that brought Mind Flayer into their universe in the first place. While some may theorize that the “American” alluded towards the end of Season 3 is none other than Jim Hopper, a set photo has revealed that the dialogue might be a red herring to divert fans’ attention, and the American might be someone else the entire time.

Some set photos have revealed that the actor Matthew Modine, who played the role of Doctor Brenner, was seen on the sets of Stranger Things.

If you have seen Stranger Things season 1, you would know that Doctor Brenner was the one who took care of Eleven when she was little. A fan has theorized that the “American” alluded to at the end of the third season could be Doctor Brenner and not Jim Hopper.

The fourth season of Stranger Things has already been announced by Netflix, and it currently has the release date tentatively scheduled somewhere around the Spring of this year.
