“Peaky Blinders” Universe Will Expand After Season 6

 A movie based on the world of “Peaky Blinders” will launch another spin-off series, and as it was promised, the world of “Peaky Blinders” will go on after the conclusion of the sixth and final season. The production of the sixth and final season has already begun, and it will wind up the iconic saga of Tommy Shelby (played by Cillian Murphy) and his family.

A piece of unfortunate news was revealed to the fans last week by the creator of the show Steven Knight that the ongoing season in production, which is the sixth season of the franchise, will be the final season. Deviating from its original plan, Steven Knight had made the ongoing season the final one of the franchise since nothing could have been done last year.

Steven Knight had announced earlier that the show could be extended for one more season, which could have been its seventh season.

However, there is something to look forward to because Steven Knight has already confirmed via his interview with Variety that the unprecedented lockdown compelled him to dismiss the plan for the seventh season and shift his focus on the eagerly awaited Peaky Blinders movie instead.

Steven Knight explained that the movie is under development. He explained further that the idea about the movie is well developed and understood. He said in the interview that the story does indeed have a start, middle, and conclusion. He added that the movie would be a perfect way to end the whole saga.

The comments made by Steven Knight has clearly indicated that he has all plans to continue the story of “Peaky Blinders” universe beyond the events of the sixth and final season. A cinematic adaptation will follow season 6 and other projects based on the universe are currently under development.

Steven Knight also added that there are TV shows planned for the branch-off, but he is really not involved in any of those. However, he thinks that they will continue to tell the story about the society and the family, which is featured in the TV series. As far as he is concerned, he will just be a part of the movie, which is under development.

Steven Knight is a busy man, and he is not only involved in the Peaky Blinders’ project. He has also written a script for the biopic film based on the life of Princess Diana, which is going to star Twilight star Kristen Stewart in the leading role, and the film will be directed by Pablo Larrain.

Steven Knight commented in the interview and said that the filming of the biopic is just about to start. He added that the pre-production has almost reached its conclusion, and the cast and crew are raring to go. He also said that working on the story for the biopic has been a matter of immense pleasure for him, and it was great for him to be involved in the film, which he had no idea about.
