Cyberpunk 2077 Pulled Back by Sony: Offering Refunds to PS4 and PS5 Players

 All the PlayStation players must be familiar with the release of an action role-playing video game named Cyberpunk 2077. The game was released just a week ago, which is developed and published by CD Projekt.

The game was released for PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, Stadia, and Xbox One. However, it is still to be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox X/S next year. It received positive responses for its setting, graphics, narrative, and gameplay. Unfortunately, the game faced many technical issues on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, after which Sony removed the same from the PlayStation Store.

Additionally, Sony announced that all the PS4 and PS5 players who invested can request a refund for the same. Earlier, CD Projekt Red said that PlayStation users must wait for any additional information, which has finally arrived. After going through the inspection, it’s decided to take down the game.

If you’re one of those who have already paid for the game, requesting your refund should be the top priority. Therefore, here’s a guide for doing the same.

How to Request a Refund for the Cyberpunk 2077 Game?

The steps to request a refund for Cyberpunk 2077 for PS4 and PS5 players are:

  1. Open any web browser.
  2. Search and navigate to playstation.com/en-us/support/store/ps-store-refund-request/.
  3. A new page will open. Locate the ‘Refund Chatbot’ highlight and tap on the same.
  4. Click on the ‘Refund Request’ button in the next window.
  5. Tap on the ‘I’m Ready’ option.
  6. The next window will prompt you to answer seven questions. The questions are based on what you want a refund for and which account was used to charge. Once you’ve responded to the questions, you’ll be redirected to a support agent.
  7. A Support ID will be generated. Take a note of the same as it’s important information.
  8. Hit the ‘Next’ button.
  9. The next window will ask if you want to talk to a live agent. Click on the ‘Yes’ button right below that.

Finally, after checking the information, the agent will decide if you get a refund or not. Notably, you can request a refund within fourteen days of purchase. Furthermore, if you’ve already streamed the content and is not faulty, your refund request won’t be eligible.

If you need a digital copy of your refunded game, you’ll have to sign in and follow the instructions on PlayStation Support. Earlier, users were facing difficulties, and their request was being denied, but that isn’t the case anymore.

Requesting a refund isn’t rocket science. Therefore, follow the simple instructions mentioned above and check for other games to play.
