Regina King Wins Yet Another Emmy for Watchmen
Not surprisingly, Regina King was chosen as an undisputed winner of Lead Actress in Limited Series in recognition of his sublime performance in coming of age HBO superhero drama series Watchmen. She could very well be a serious contender at Oscars with her first directorial venture “One Night in Miami.” Regina King should be considered nothing less than a legend as far as Primetime Emmy Awards are concerned as she has stormed her way to her fourth win at the prestigious award show for her role of Angela Abar aka Sister Night in the mega-hit HBO show Watchmen. Although many had predicted King to be an obvious winner, there were few who were fancying other contenders that included Shira Haas for her role in Netflix show “Unorthodox”, Octavia Spencer from yet another Netflix product “Self Made,” Cate Blanchett for her role in Hulu’s show “Mrs America,” and Kerry Washington for “Little Fires Everywhere” (Hulu).
